Ramona and Beezus

Today, we went to the new movie "Ramona and Beezus"! It was a great heart warming family comedy! Beverly Cleary wrote the Ramona books. It is a series about Ramona and the Quimby family. I read most of the series. Beverly Cleary is my favorite author, so I was really excited about the movie. I give it a * * * * * a 5 star rating! Ramona is a crazy 1st grader full of adventure. The movie is G-rated. I recomend this movie to everyone!:)

2 diners+2 friends=double fun!

This week my best friend, Re-Re stayed with us. We had a blast!!! We played non-stop.
One day, we made up each our on diner/restaurant. We made signs, menus, we set up the tables, and had a whole lot of fun! I had a 60's diner with glass coke bottles and checkered plates. I called it the " Double Decker Diner". We served food like double decker sandwiches, hamburgers, and milkshakes. Re-Re's on the other hand, was a modern home grown cafe. Her set up had a hand woven girl doll and a pear in the cup. She called hers the "Pear Place". She served things like beef stew and coffee. We both had a lot of fun!

Luray Caverns

Sorry I haven't been blogging, lately. Our Internet is down.
I am way behind....... We stopped at Luray caverns on the way home from Maryland. These caverns are so amazing. They are beyond words.
The rooms are 140 ft. high. The way they formed is just amazing. One stalagmite looks like a ghost. Titania's Veil looks like a giant white veil. Some parts of the caverns formed to look like Totem's Poles, Giant's Hall,a Frozen Fountain, Dream Lake, and Fried Eggs. There are many more attractions. "Fried eggs" are objects that look like fried eggs. In, Giant's hall ladies used to dance in the caverns in beautiful dresses. Can you imagine dancing in the middle of a cave?? There is a lake called Dream Lake inside Luray Caverns. It is called "dream lake" because if you look at the lake you think you see more stalagmites..actually, it is the reflection of the stalactites hang from the ceiling.
I saved the best for last. It is the Great Stalacpipe Organ. It is a organ that has mechanical hammers connected to certain parts of the caverns. They make a twinkling sound when hammered.
Oh, by they way, people get married in the caverns. Crazy or what? The pics can not really even show you the beauty of Luray Caverns.
